apparently no one can get enough of them. except for David Brooks, right of center New York Times columnist (The Huffington Post). According to this New York Times Op-Ed by Maureen Dowd, he apparently seems to think it’s appropriate, or funny even to nick-name them “Thunder and Lightnight.” Ms. Dowd herself seems to feel precisely the opposite, saying:

Let’s face it: The only bracing symbol of American strength right now is the image of Michelle Obama’s sculpted biceps.

Robin Givhan, writing for the The New Yorker, doesn’t appear to feel quite as strongly as Ms. Dowd regarding Michelle Obama’s biceps’ importance to the American People. The writer, however, does go so far as to say that her muscular biceps essentially represent the first lady’s “power.”

I think I agree with the Chicago Sun Times: Michelle Obama’s guns inspire workouts. I know they inspired me. I already feel guilty for not going to the gym today.

This is going to be one of those confessional moments. I love Lily Allen. She’s amazing. And I’m not alone on this one. The New Yorker loves Lily Allen, as does apparently Ok! Magazine who allegedly bought private pictures FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES of the poor lady at home… it’s ok because she called the NYTimes “cheap skanks” on her blog. (this is why I love her).
